Best Vegan Restaurants in Vancouver

Updated: Jul 16, 2020

While you’re staying in our Hotel Riviera, enjoy the atmosphere of Vegan and Vegetarian restaurant near Us! We love our veggies, and we bet you do, too. More and more of us are eschewing meat for a variety of reasons, be they ethical, environmental, health-related, or simply because modern vegetarian cooking just tastes so darn good. Even those of us who still like a good ribeye steak once in a while are embracing our brussels sprouts and roasted cauliflower. And why not, when there are so many places preparing vegetables so deliciously?

Meet

The first stop on any list of vegan restaurant in Vancouver, Meet is your go- to for burgers and comfort food. Know for their decadent Double- Double Burger ( double coconut bacon and double cheez), mountains of crispy fries and poutine, you'll leave here fully satisfied, and with your wallet still intact.

Acorn

If you're looking for a special, slightly higher- end dining experience, Acorn is it. Serving the best in fine vegetarian and vegan dining, you'll be treated to craft cocktails, excellent service, and delicious seasonally inspired dishes. Everything is beautifully presented and you'll want to try it all ( but definitely try the mushroom appetizer).

Virtuous Pie

Offering an excellent selection of vegan pizzas and dairy- free ice cream, Virtuous Pie has made a name for itself over the last few years. Now boasting two Vancouver locations, you can try pizzas such as Ultraviolet (walnut and arugula pesto, cashew mozzarella, tomatoes, kale, caramelized onion, and pine nuts), and Superfunghi (wild mushroom, potato cream and, mozzarella) to name a few.

Heirloom

A favourite for weekend brunch (although they serve it every day), Heirloom excels in providing beautiful, airy spaces and mouth- watering menu. Dishes are full of colour and taste, and portions are refreshingly large. Favourites include the signature Heirloom Hash with tofu and the Avocado Benedict, all served with mimosas, of course.

Hey Kokomo

If you need a break from all the comfort food, try Kokomo for lighter, healthier fare. Specializing in delicious and colourful bowls of goodness, the All- Day Brekkie Macro Bowl is a winner, as is their Golden Laksa Noodles Bowl. They also offer delicious vegan soft- serve various toppings, smoothies, cold brew, and coconut yogurt.

BeetBox Veg

It's not often your hear of a crispy- fried and truly solidified southern chicken spot venturing into the world of plant- based vegan eats, but Vancouver's Juke Fried Chicken did exactly that, and we love it. BeetBox offers plant based burgers, wraps, sandwiches, along with sides like chili cheese fries, roasted broccoli with mushroom XO sauce, and more.

Arbor

The little sister of Acorn, arbor is funky and slightly cheaper. It still has the artistic flair of Acorn but offers a more relaxed vibe. Go visit to try their Southern Artichoke Sandwich, flatbread pizzas, and Pulled Jackfruit Steamed Buns. Be warned, this place gets busy in the evening. badidas

Bandidas

A much- loved favourite of Commercial Drive, Bandidas is great for affordable, tasty Mexican- inspired food that will leave you wanting more. The setting is cozy and informal, and you can eat well under $20.
