FAQ - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What time is check-in time? 

Check-in time at the Hotel is 3 pm onwards.

 

I want to check-in before 3:00 pm as I will arrive in Vancouver early morning. Can I check-in earlier than 3:00 pm?

Checking-in earlier than 3:00 pm will be subject to availability upon your arrival.  $25 per hour (between 10:00 till 2:00 pm) afterward no charge. Full night charge if check-in earlier. Our Hotel will be more than happy to keep your luggage in the lobby until your room is ready. However, if you wish to secure your early check-in, please book a room one night before, and you will be able to check-in earlier than 3:00 pm.

 

What time is the check-out time?

The official hotel check-out time is 11 am.

 

I want to do a late check-out as my flight is late at night. Can I check-out in the afternoon on my check-out date?

Checking-out later than 11:00 am will be subject to availability with an extra fee:

  • 11am - 2 pm: $25.00 CAD/hour

  • The latest check-out is 2:00 pm

Do you accept cash/debit pre-incidental authorization?

We only accept credit card for Pre Incidental Authorization of $250.

 

Is Reception open 24 hours?

Yes, Reception service is available 24 hours. 

 

If I make a reservation, is it refundable or non-refundable?

Reservation conditions depend on the platform booked. If you make a reservation via our website, then the reservation is refundable. Please read the reservation conditions before making a booking.

 

What is the Hotel's cancellation policy?

Please refer to the third-party booking engine for the cancellation policy and address any related questions to them. For direct reservations, please refer to our hotel policy.

 

Will my credit card be charged before my arrival?

We will accept payment upon your check-in. Your credit card will be pre-authorized $250.00. Two days before your arrival, if your reservation was made directly with us.
 

Is there a swimming pool or gym at the Hotel?

Unfortunately, we don't have a swimming pool or gym on-site. However, we are pleased to offer convenient laundry services for our guests. Additionally, there are several gyms within walking distance of the hotel, ensuring our guests have options to maintain their fitness routine during their stay.

 

Is it possible to have a child’s bed in the room? If yes, what is the price?

Cribs are available upon request.

Do children stay for free? 

Additional child (5 and under) are free of charge, (12 and under) will be subject to a $10 per child per night. Adult (12+) will be subject to a $20 per person per night. Extra rollaway bed is available a $20 per night. 

 

Is your hotel pet-friendly?

Yes, we are. We have some pet-friendly rooms with certain room types. Please contact us to check availability before you make a reservation. Riviera hotel will accept pets (only dogs) less than 20lb with an additional fee of $25.00 plus tax per night. Service dogs are staying with us free of charge. 

 

Do you have a shuttle bus service between Vancouver International Airport and your Hotel?

Guests can conveniently use the SkyTrain from the airport to reach us. It's a direct route, and our hotel is just 1.3 km away from the Vancouver City Centre SkyTrain station.

 

Do you have a restaurant?

We do not have a restaurant, unfortunately, but you will find many restaurants near to the Hotel.

 

Do you have WiFi in the Hotel?

Yes, we have WiFi for free.

Do you have parking spaces?

Yes, we do have outside and caged parking. 

 

How much does the parking cost?

Outside parking is $39 (including tax) per night/per car. Caged parking is $49(including tax) per night/per car. 

Do you have smoking and non- smoking rooms? 

All guest rooms, balconies, parking lot, common areas, and public areas are 100% non-smoking, and we ask that you refrain from smoking in the hotel premises.

 

Can I leave my luggage?

Yes, we can look after your luggage. If at check-in, your room is not ready yet or in case of early check out after. If you want to leave your luggage, then it is for an additional cost of $5 per luggage.

Do you serve breakfast?

No, we do not server breakfast.

 

What is the difference between a twin room and a double room?

A twin room has two single beds, whereas a double room has one double bed.

 

Can I rent a car at the Hotel or nearby?

Yes, you can rent a car with a Local Independent Car Rental company located in our Hotel. 

 

How can I get to your Hotel from Vancouver International Airport?

How far is the Riviera Hotel from Canada Place?

Canada Places is 1.5km from the Hotel via car, 14 minutes away via public transportation, and 19 minutes away within walking distance. Click here to see a google map for directions.

 

How much is the taxi fare from Riviera Hotel to Canada Place (Cruise ship terminal)?

The taxi fare is approximately $8.00 to $10.00.

 

Where is the nearest shopping center?

Pacific Center is the closest shopping center to the Hotel. It is approximately 10 minutes walking distance.

 

Which is the best place to eat?

There are various delicious food choices on Robson street. Please let us know your preference, and we will be happy to provide more information. Also, please look at our restaurant recommendation guide.

 

Do you have any adjoining rooms/connecting rooms?

Yes, we do. To book these rooms, please contact us before you make reservations to check availability.

 

Is your Hotel/Hotel rooms wheelchair accessible?

Unfortunately, none of our rooms are wheelchair accessible and we do not have specific accommodations for disabilities at this time.

Are all rooms accessible with an elevator?

Except for our Queen Room/Queen Suite on the 1st floor, all guest rooms can be accessed with an elevator. Queen Room/Queen Suite can be accessed by stairs only.
