HOTEL POLICIES

The following policies relate to your stay at the Hotel Riviera. Please take the time to review these policies. Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at your earliest convenience.    

 

Guaranteed Reservation & Check-in 

Check-in time at the Hotel is 3 pm onwards. If you arrive prior to check-in time, please check with the front desk. Additional charge $29 Plus taxes for early check-in. To guarantee a reservation at the Hotel, a valid government-issued photo ID (passport or driver-license only) and a valid major bank-issued credit card are mandatory. Guests will be required to present their own valid credit/debit card upon check-in, along with a correct form of identification. Especially, if you have already prepaid by credit card for your reservation before arrival. The credit card would be pre-authorized before/upon arrival and full payment collected upon arrival. Pre-authorized with a credit card, it is $100 incidental damage deposit which is canceled post check-out and takes around 5-20 business days to get back into your account. If a credit card or ID is not available, the Hotel reserves the right to refuse the reservation or deny check-in. For all the reservations and third-party reservations, a valid credit card should match the guest name on the reservation as per booking policy/agreement with the third-parties.

 

Photo ID & Age Requirement

At least one person over 19 years old must be present in the room. A valid government-issued photo ID of everyone who is staying at Hotel Riviera on Robson is required both for reservation and check-in process and to process a credit card.

Taxes & Fees

  • Room charges are subject to 18.5% taxes. (GST 5%, PST 8%  ,MRDT 3% +ME MRDT 2.5%).

  • All credit card payment transactions are subject to a 2.4% credit card collection fee.

  • GST is subjected to Room Rent, PST and ME MRDT.

  • Parking charges effective from July 1, 2019 (BC Provincial Parking tax 24 % & GST 5%) $30 plus taxes outside parking; $35 + tax underground parking/night.

  • The hotel will accept pets (only dogs) less than 20 lb with an additional fee of $29+ Tax per night. Service dogs are staying with us free of charge.

  • Dirty dishes left at checkout incur an additional cost as well $50.00

  • Luggage storage: Big luggage $9 each before check in and after check out; overnight $15 each luggage per day. Small bags $5 each before check in and after check out; overnight $9 each bag day.

  • The hotel permits a maximum of 6 guests in a room depending on the room category. Some rooms have a maximum of 3 guest’s occupancy. Room rates for our suites are based on single occupancy. Additional children (10 and under) will be subject to $ 10+tax per night , Adults (12+) will be subject to $25+tax  per person per night after check in. Extra rollaway bed is available at $20+tax per night.  The crib is subject to $10+tax per night.

  • Stays over cleaning charges are: bed sheets are provided free of charge after 7th day, in house cleaning service is available for $25.00. New bed sheets can be provided anytime for an extra fee of $10.00

  • Electric Car Charging Station- $20 for 8 hours.

  • Kitchenette Facility - Kitchenette is available for guest in our 2 Queen Bedroom, Robson/Harbour Suite for an additional fee of $35+tax per day.

  • Extra Bedroom - Private Bedroom is available for guest in our Robson/Harbour Suite for an additional fee of $35+tax per night.

Check in

The official hotel check- in time is at 3.00 pm. If you require checking in early it is subject to availability and additional charge of $29+ tax will apply.

Check out

The official hotel check-out time is 11 am. If you require a later check-out, please contact the receptionist before 11 am on the day of departure. We will do our best to accommodate your request, but we cannot guarantee that it would be possible. Late departure fees will apply as follows:

  • 12pm - 2 pm: $29+tax

  • After 2 pm: Full Rate​

 

Cancellation & No-Show

Cancellation is allowed free of charge for refundable reservation if done 24 hours before check-in. If cancellation is done after 24 hour before check-in,, 100% of the first night will be charged. For any no-show, we will charge 100% of the first night. Any non-refundable reservation is non-changeable & non-transferable, and full pre-payment is due at the time of booking. In the case of no- show (non-refundable), we will charge the full amount of the reservation. The cardholder must be present at the time of check-in and produce the credit card used for payment and government-issued photo ID. Please note we only accept a valid major bank-issued credit card for pre-payment.

 

Visitor(s) & Noise Policy

The visitor(s) are welcome to visit their staying Guest between 10 am - 10 pm. Any visitor staying beyond the visiting hours are subject to $29+tax per person. We appreciate our guests to be respectful of other patrons staying in the hotel. Should you or your guests create a disturbance affecting the comfort of other guests, your credit card will be charged for the hotel’s loss of revenue.

 

Pet Policy

The hotel will accept pets (only dogs) less than 20 lb with an additional fee of $29 +tax per night. Service dogs are staying with us free of charge.

 

For the convenience of our guests who are traveling with pets. We do kindly request that guests do not leave their pets unattended in the room, and pets must be with owners at all times. We will add any damages to the room caused by your pet to your credit card. The Guest also acknowledges and agrees that the Deposit amount will not limit the right of the Hotel. To exercise or pursue any remedy available in law or equity for breach of this agreement, including, but not limited to, damages on appliances or finishes, furniture — alternatively, any other costs or losses resulting from the negligence of the Guest and their Pets. Should your pet create a disturbance affecting the comfort of other guests, your credit card will be charged for the Hotel’s loss of revenue.

 

Non-Smoking Policy

All guest rooms, balconies, parking lot, common areas, and public areas are 100% non-smoking, and we ask that you refrain from smoking in the hotel premises. Please help us keep the Hotel in a smoke-free environment. We charge a $250 fumigation, cleaning fee, and any loss of revenue of the Hotel to any guest’s credit card who violates this strict non-smoking policy.
